About
The special tactics JRPG that lets you talk directly to the Hero.
Marshal your wits and fight your way through turn-based battles and awkward conversations alike. Choose your words and actions with care. Or don’t. See what happens…
At the onset, you (yes, you) will be connected to a hero with his own plans, hopes, and fears, in a world that has raised him for this role. Question him, advise him, and guide him on his way. Your treatment of him will shape how events unfold.
Explore a vibrant world!
Branching dialogue with interjections!
An Unorthodox Tactical Battle System
- Turns are split into six substeps, actions have varying substep durations and areas of effect. Slower actions might hit harder, while faster actions can be easier to land.
- Both Player and Enemy units queue multiple actions ahead of time, then execute them concurrently.
- Time your actions and movements carefully to hit your opponents before they hit you.
- Inspired by fighting game concepts such as footsies, frame data, and attack interruption.
Other Features
- A varied soundtrack (with genre inspirations including jazz fusion, electronic, and folk music) which reacts dynamically to gameplay.
- A narrative with layers.
- Built on top of a custom 2D game engine.
