Novel game and card selection-type RPG dated.
Novel game and card selection-type RPG Annihilated will launch for PC via Steam on July 22, developer Desu Kumiai announced.
Update 07/09/26: Publisher Flashlight Games and developer Desu Kumiai has delayed Annihilated from its previuosly planned July 22 release to a Q4 2026 release window. Here are messages from each on the delay:
Message from Publisher Flashlight Games
Development is in its final stages, and the team has been polishing the game towards the July 22 release. However, we have made the decision to take additional time for final adjustments—refining the overall game feel and fine-tuning the battle balance for a smoother experience—so that we can deliver the game at the level of quality it deserves.
We sincerely apologize to everyone who has been looking forward to the game, as well as to the media outlets and content creators who have covered it to date.
During this final phase, we plan to release an updated demo and once again invite feedback from players.
In return for the wait, the entire team is committed to making Annihilated a game that lives up to your expectations at launch.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Message from Developer Desu Kumiai
To everyone waiting for Annihilated:
We know some of you have been saying, “It’s out this month—can’t wait!”—which makes this announcement all the more painful to write.
Here’s the honest truth: the game has already passed Steam’s review process, and we absolutely could finish bug-checking and ship the game by July 22.
But that launch would have looked something like:
“*gasp* *wheeze* BUGS FIXED!!! OKAY, SHIP IT NOW!!!!”
…and that’s not the launch this game deserves.
What we couldn’t fit in was the time after completion for the whole team to play the game over and over and fine-tune all the little details of the balance. That’s the time we’re asking for.
The delay window may look wide, but that’s only because we’d rather promise carefully and deliver early—we’re doing everything we can to get it to you as soon as possible. Please don’t worry on that front.
We’d be truly grateful if you could give us just a little more time.
Thank you for your patience and continued support—we are looking forward to share what we’ve been working on!

Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:
About
The Hero’s party has been annihilated.
You can only save ONE, but they are all BROKEN;
- The Hero – Lost their words. The Hero can only say “Yes” or “No.”
- The Mage – Lost their magic. A massive spike pierces their heart.
- The Warrior – Lost their body. Now a soul trapped in a lovely doll.
- The Priest – Lost their **.
You can only rescue one from these broken members. A treacherous journey to escape the dungeon begins.
Overveiw
You become a member of the “Death Squad to Rescue the Brave Party” (name and gender can be changed), and through exploration and conversation with one of the four characters you choose, you will deepen your bond with them and learn about their unexpected sides.
The labyrinth that confines the heroic party is not an easy place to escape from. It is up to you to choose whether or not the two of you can overcome the grueling adventure alone and get out safely!
The labyrinth has four layers, each with powerful rivals and many demons. And unexpected accidents await you. No matter how tough the labyrinth may be, you will surely be able to overcome it with someone next to you!
The game features original hand-drawn illustrations, a 150,000-word scenario, and original music by NINOMIYA Yuji. A wealth of cards and a variety of enemies created with care by the system staff.
