A nostalgic 3D action-platformer inspired by the golden era of PS2 is capturing the attention of fans and creators alike.
Duskfade is an upcoming 3D action-platformer inspired by the golden age of PlayStation games, drawing clear influence from classics like Jak and Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, and Kingdom Hearts. Built with modern technology but rooted in old-school design, Duskfade blends fast-paced platforming, expressive worlds, and stylish combat into a heartfelt throwback adventure.
Designed as a love letter to players who grew up on PlayStation, Duskfade taps directly into the nostalgia of the PS2 era while delivering the polish and fluidity expected from today’s action games. It’s a title aimed squarely at fans who miss when colorful, story-driven platformers were at the core of the PlayStation identity.
The game was recently featured in the New Game Plus Showcase, where a brand- new gameplay trailer and boss fight footage were revealed. The appearance was met with strong enthusiasm and positive reactions from major YouTube and Twitch creators.
Players don’t have to wait to experience it for themselves. A playable demo is currently available on Steam, holding a 91% positive rating, giving fans an early taste of Duskfade’s world, movement, and combat.
Duskfade is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam in 2026.
