Quarantine Zone: The Last Check launches January 12, 2026
Decide who gets through and who stays behind.
Apocalyptic checkpoint simulator Quarantine Zone: The Last Check will launch for PC via Steam on January 12, 2026, publisher Devolver Digital and developer Brigada Games announced.
Since its reveal in May, Quarantine Zone: The Last Check has been wishlisted by more than 1.2 million users, and over two million users have played the free demo.
Here is an overview of the game, via Devolver Digital:
In Quarantine Zone: The Last Check, you must take on the role of a government agent stationed at a critical checkpoint in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. Your job? Screen survivors, manage scarce resources and make impossible moral decisions that determine who gets in—and who doesn’t.
Between juggling food, fuel and defense systems, you’ll also face the human side of survival: trust, desperation and the haunting consequences of every call you make.
Quarantine Zone: The Last Check‘s launch release will boast a whole host of infectious new features not present in the demo, including:
- The new portable X-ray, which scans a person’s internal organs for signs of infection… or checks whether a survivor is hiding contraband where the sun don’t shine.
- A new metiascope helps inspect people’s eyes for signs of the virus (or you can test for healthy reflexes with the new medical reflex hammer).
- Use the laboratory to examine survivors with unknown symptoms and discover dangerous new signs of the virus.
- A feeding cage for zombies to dispose of corpses. This isn’t just for the fun of it: the government will pay handsomely for them.
- A new base management interface offers a bird’s eye perspective for overseeing and managing all resources from a single interface (no more carts).
- Relentless zombies will fall into your base from the rooftops; be ready to shoot them down.
- Many other improvements are also implemented to refine the challenge of base defense and overall gameplay.
