Roguelite third-person shooter Armatus announced for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC
Due out in 2026.
Publisher Fictions and Godfall developer Counterplay Games have announced roguelite third-person shooter Armatus for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC (Steam, Microsoft Store). It will launch in 2026.
“With Armatus, we wanted our gameplay to be a blend of modern firearms and supernatural powers, plus a little melee for good measure,” said Counterplay Games studio head Ming Zhang in a press release. “By layering in dynamic build choices for each run, we’ve created the frenetic, hyperkinetic combat that really defines our gameplay.”
Fictions producer Kelsey Hansen added, “We’re so thrilled to be working with Ming and the talented team at Counterplay Games to help them bring Armatus to life. This is a game full of intense, fast-paced combat that truly feels incredible in your hands. We can’t wait for everyone to experience it in 2026.”

About
Armatus is a third-person roguelite shooter set in the demon-infested ruins of Paris. As the last supernatural warrior of an ancient order, armed with powerful firearms and incredible celestial powers, scour the city in search of a lost gateway to heaven—the Sunless Gate.
