Here is the story synopsis:
“Where should we go? It’s my turn to take you out today!”
Nekomata Okayu is the poster girl for an onigiri shop who, in an unexpected turn of events, took on human form.
After meeting the protagonist, she falls in love and begins a happy life full of mischief and laughter…
One winter, the two receive an invitation to take part in a local products exhibition in Tokyo.
“If we do well here, the shop will become even more popular!”
And so the eager protagonist tries to develop a new product, but is unable to come up with any good ideas.
Unable to bear seeing the protagonist like that, Okayu smiles cheerfully and says, “Alright then! Let’s take a trip around Aomori together! We’ll gather up all sorts of delicious ideas along the way!”
And so begins their “product development tour”—which looks a lot more like a “lover’s trip.”
A relationship that began like a prank from the gods deepens more and more as they take one detour after another together.
