Painkiller delayed to October 21, roguelike game mode revealed
Fight through procedurally generated areas.
Publisher 3D Realms and developer Anshar Studios have delayed Painkiller, the reimagining of the classic first-person shooter franchise, from its previously planned October 9 release date to October 21. It will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
The companies also revealed “Rogue Angel,” a roguelike game mode separate from the main campaign. Rogue Angel takes players to a new realm of Purgatory, where players will advance through procedurally generated arenas; collect tarot cards, weapons, and items along the way; and take on bosses.
