Monster Hunter Outlanders closed beta test set for November
New gameplay trailer and screenshots released.
TiMi Studio Group and Capcom have released the Tokyo Game Show 2025 trailer and new screenshots for open-world survival game Monster Hunter Outlanders, as well as begun recruitment for a closed beta test scheduled to launch in November in select areas.
“Fans at Tokyo Game Show will be among the first to try the game, but this is just one aspect of the game’s many features,” said TiMi Studio Group producer Dong Huang in a press release. “With the first closed beta coming in November, we are currently working hard so that players can experience the game’s many appealing features. Please stay tuned for more details!”
Capcom producer Genki Sunano added, “I believe that this title, Monster Hunter Outlanders, on which we are collaborating with TiMi Studio Group, has great potential. We’re thrilled for fans to jump in and experience the franchise in a new and exciting way.”

The trailer introduces a new unknown island where the game takes place, showcasing the unique hunting action against countless monsters, along with the familiar weapon types enhanced by brand-new elements. The closed beta has also been announced, with recruitment starting now for the test scheduled to launch in November in select areas. The newly released trailer delves deeper into the world of Monster Hunter Outlanders, showcasing the game’s default protagonist, the “Adventurer,” along with exploration scenes which reveal the full extent of the crafting function. - Journey with New Buddies – In this game, each Adventurer will be accompanied by a buddy. In addition to the familiar buddy Palico from the Monster Hunter series, new buddies exclusive to this game, Rutaco and Trillan, will also be introduced. - Enjoy the Game Through Crafting – The game’s setting, Aesoland, is divided into several areas based on terrain and weather. Monster Hunter Outlanders will be available for iOS and Android as a free-to-play title with in-app purchases. A release date has yet to be announced.
