Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage launches October 30 for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC; later for Switch 2

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam on October 30 for $19.99, followed by Switch 2 at a later date, publisher SEGA and developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announced. A closed beta test will take place in early September.

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. first launched for PC via Steam on January 28. The PC version will receive an automatic update to Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage at launch.

Users who own Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown for PlayStation 4 can upgrade to Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage for a discounted price of $9.99, with all downloadable content carrying over.

A “30th Anniversary Edition” will also be available for $49.49, which includes the following additional content:

• Downloadable content “Legendary Pack”
• Downloadable content “Yakuza Series Pack”
• Downloadable content “30th Anniversary Swimsuit Costume Set” (all characters)
• Virtua Fighter Pre-Production Secret Materials
• Virtua Fighter 30th Anniversary Music Selection
• 30th Anniversary Ranking Titles

Pre-orders for any edition include the “SEGA Genesis Customization Item,” which is based on the SEGA hardware.

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage introduces the new mode “World Stage”—a single-player mode where you battle through tournaments around the world. Legendary real-life players will appear as CPU opponents.

Additionally, Dural will join the game as a playable fighter via paid downloadable content, allowing players to control the game’s mysterious final boss. (It should be noted that Dural cannot be used in official tournaments.)
