Pixel art side-scrolling action adventure game NetherWorld will launch for Switch and PC via Steam on September 12, publisher SelectaPlay and developer Hungry Pixel announced. A demo is available now for both platforms, and users can pre-order a physical edition for Switch.
Here is an overview of the game, via SelectPlay:
About
Step into Medoo’s tentacles one last time as NetherWorld prepares to unleash its full, filthy glory. What starts with a marriage crisis spirals into a riotous narrative adventure packed with brutal boss battles, twisted humor, roguelike dungeon runs, and a cast of deranged characters you’ll love to hate (or hate to love). Whether you’re gambling away your dignity in vile minigames or facing off against nightmarish foes, every moment of NetherWorld is soaked in sleaze, style, and strangely heartfelt depravity.
Key Features
- Narrative Mayhem – Help Medoo piece together his broken life through a twisted, alcohol-fueled journey full of depraved humor and outrageous encounters.

- Brutal Boss Battles – Face off against savage bosses with a wide array of weapons—or go in swinging with bare tentacles.
- Pixel Art with Bite – Explore a beautifully grotesque pixel world packed with shocking surprises and morally questionable choices.
- Depravity with Depth – Beneath the drugs, bullets, and vodka, NetherWorld explores real themes of loneliness, failure, and trying to put yourself back together.
