Silent Hill: Townfall developer No Code rebrands to Screen Burn Interactive
A new era for the Glasgow-based studio.
No Code, the studio behind Stories Untold, Observation, and the upcoming Silent Hill: Townfall, has rebranded under the new name Screen Burn Interactive, the studio announced.
“We’re not who we were in 2015,” said Screen Burn Interactive founder and creative director Jon McKellan, referring to the company’s two-person start in Glasgow, Scotland. “We’ve grown and changed. For a start, we have coders now! So, we needed a name that instead reflects what’s always been at the heart of the games themselves: the imperfect feel of old technology and the lasting impact of a story that stays with you long after the credits roll.”
Screen Burn Interactive aims to capture that spirit, comparing “the ghost of an image burned into an old CRT screen,” to the memory of a game forever imprinted on your mind.
Development on Silent Hill: Townfall remains underway with Konami and Annapurna Interactive. Further information will be announced at a later date.
