Release Date Trailer
Update 08/26/25: TeamKill Media has delayed Code Violet from November 14 to December 12 due to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 also launching on November 14.
Here is the full message from TeamKill Media:
Dear Code Violet Community,
We have an important update regarding the release of Code Violet. After careful consideration, we’ve decided to move the release date from November 14, 2025, to December 12, 2025.
This decision comes in light of the recently announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, set to launch on the same original date. We recognize that competing with such a major release on a marketing level would be impossible.
While we understand this delay may be disappointing, we’re committed to making the extra time count. During this additional month, we’ll be enhancing our character models, optimizing and polishing to deliver the most immersive and polished experience possible.
As a token of our gratitude for your patience and support, we’re excited to announce that all players will receive two exclusive Christmas-themed outfits for Violet at launch.
Thank you for your understanding and continued excitement for Code Violet. We wish Call of Duty much success and gamers to enjoy Black Ops 7 in November and we can’t wait to share the final experience of Code Violet with you on December 12, 2025.
Update 12/02/25: TeamKill Media has delayed Code Violet once again to January 10, 2026, this time due to technical roadblocks in certification.
Here is the full message from TeamKill Media:
We are thrilled to announce that Code Violet has gone GOLD as we put the final polish on the game ahead of release. We have some exciting news to share—and, unfortunately, a bit of a hiccup along the way.
During certification, we hit some stubborn technical roadblocks related to unlocking entitlements for the deluxe and pre-order editions. Our four-person team pulled 20-hour days for weeks, exploring every possible fix, but it pushed back our plans for gameplay and story trailers, as well as getting review codes out the door.
Faced with a tough call, we could either delay the launch by months to resolve these entitlement issues or pivot to a single standard edition that bundles in all the pre-order and deluxe bonuses—with just a short delay to implement the changes.
Though this shift impacts our revenue, the choice was clear: we couldn’t bear to keep our fans waiting. So, we’re moving forward with one unified Code Violet edition, where every purchase includes all the bonus outfits, items, and perks—no tiers.
In transitioning, we ran into a few store-side glitches, but Sony has been fantastic partners in sorting it all out. They’ll be issuing full refunds for deluxe edition purchases, allowing you to repurchase the standard edition while still getting everything you were promised.
Our pre-order momentum has been incredible—we’ve held steady at #6 to #7 on the best-seller charts—and it’s only fueling our drive to deliver an unforgettable game laced with nostalgia of our inspiration. We’re truly sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
That said, silver linings abound: unlock our killer take on the Tommy gun (trust us, it’s awesome), and slip into Violet’s fiercest outfits, and Deluxe edition fans will save a bit on the price. If you purchased the Standard you receive everything.
Mark your calendars: Code Violet launches January 10, 2026! We know another delay is disappointing, but this short window ensures everything is perfectly situated for the smoothest launch possible. We’re absolutely dying with excitement as we finally unleash the world of Code Violet on you. Thank you for your patience and passion—we can’t wait! Now let’s get the stunning Violet up to #1 on the pre-orders!
We will continue to update everyone as Sony and us get everything updated. Stay tuned also for some epic new trailers and gameplay footage.
