‘Whack ‘n’ slash’ co-op roguelite action game Into the Unwell announced for PC

Coffee Stain Publishing and developer She Was Such A Good Horse have announced Into The Unwell, a “whack ‘n’ slash” cooperative roguelite action game coming soon to Early Access for PC via Steam. Closed beta test sign-ups are available now via the game’s Steam page.
“It feels surreal to finally share Into The Unwell with the world,” said She Was Such A Good Horse co-funder Marten Stockhaus in a press release. “This game is a celebration of our quirks, flaws, and the strange humor that keeps us going. The blend of platforming, action roguelite, and [cooperative] gameplay reflects our vision of turning the absurd into something unique and enjoyable. We’re beyond excited for players to experience the madness with their friends.”

About
Play alone or with up to two friends as you get to know the strange inhabitants of this rubber hose world, find ways to help them, and perhaps become a little less unwell along the way. Embark on your spirit quest seeking self-control and find victory through your vices as you embrace chaos and fight your way through The Unwell. Along the way, you’ll encounter bizarre bosses, quirky characters and surreal surroundings in this cartoonish, fever dream action roguelite.
Chaotic Combat for the Chronically Incurable
Revel in your relapse and fight your way through The Unwell, taking on its twisted inhabitants wielding one of four unorthodox weapons–including a giant ice cream or a lobotomized lollipop–each with its own unique advantages.
As you advance through The Unwell, you’ll unlock new playable characters and collect talent stars to unlock upgrades for yourself and your weapons, boosting them with peculiar powers in preparation for the big boss battle that lies ahead.
Misery Loves Company with Three-Person Multiplayer
Go it alone or take on this questionable crusade with the support network of your nightmares in online three-person co-op, to better your chances of defeating your inner demons.
