Hogwarts Legacy – Switch 2 ‘Gameplay’ trailer
A look at the visual improvements over the Switch version.
Publisher Warner Bros. Games and Portkey Games, and developers Avalanche Software and Krome Studios have released a gameplay trailer for the Switch 2 version of open-world action RPG Hogwarts Legacy, which is due out alongside the console on June 5.
Pre-orders for the game are also now available in the following editions:
- Physical Standard Edition ($59.99) (ships on a game-key card)
- Digital Standard Edition ($59.99)
- The digital edition of Hogwarts Legacy for Switch 2 is available at a discount to players who already own the digital or physical Switch edition. Players who own the physical edition of Hogwarts Legacy on Switch will need to download [Activate Hogwarts Legacy Owner’s Discount on Nintendo Switch 2] in-game to see the available discount on Nintendo eShop.

Published by Warner Bros. Games under the Portkey Games label and developed by Avalanche Software, Hogwarts Legacy is an immersive, action, open-world role-playing-game set in the 1800s wizarding world. Beginning as a fifth year, players will embark on a journey through new and familiar locations, explore and discover magical beasts, craft potions, master spell casting, upgrade talents and customize their character to become the witch or wizard they want to be.
Players can experience Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with Hogwarts Legacy for Nintendo Switch 2, which has been updated with Joy-Con 2 mouse controls and improved graphics, audio, load times, and controls for Nintendo Switch 2. The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Hogwarts Legacy is being co-developed by Avalanche Software and Krome Studios.
Hogwarts Legacy is currently available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
