Nintendo Switch Online new feature closed playtest announced
Applications open on October 10.
Nintendo will host a playtest for a new feature coming to the Nintendo Switch Online service for Switch, the company announced.
Users can apply via the application website from October 10 at 8:00 a.m. PT / 11:00 a.m. ET until October 15 at 7:59 a.m. PT / 10:59 a.m. ET. Applicants must have an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack Membership, be at least 18 years of age, and be located in either the United States, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, or Japan. Participants from outside Japan will be chosen on a first-come-first-serve basis, while participants from Japan will be chosen via raffle if the number of applicants exceeds a fixed amount.
The actual playtest will run from October 23 at 6:00 p.m. PT / 9:00 p.m. ET until November 5 to 4:59 p.m. PT / 7:59 p.m. ET. Users will need to download exclusive software to their Switch in order to participate.
Nintendo did not share any additional information about the new feature.
