Fairy Tail 2 will launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam on December 12 in Japan and December 13 worldwide, publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Gust announced. Because of the time difference, the PC version will be available on December 11 in the west.
In addition to the standard edition of the game, special editions will be available in both North America and Europe:
- North America
- Fairy Tail 2 Guild Box – Exclusively available through the NIS America store, it includes the base game, the visual artbook “Sorcerer Magazine Special Issue: Game Release Edition Vol.2” inspired by the “Sorcerer Magazine” as seen in the original work, a special shikishi with holographic finish (three types in total), and more.
- Europe
- Fairy Tail 2 Guild Box – Includes the base game, the visual artbook “Sorcerer Magazine Special Issue: Game Release Edition Vol.2” inspired by the “Sorcerer Magazine” as seen in the original work, a special shikishi with holographic finish (three types in total), and more.
- Fairy Tail 2 Combo Set – Contains the items included in the Fairy Tail 2 Guild Box, as well as a special illustrated canvas art, with printed autograph of series creator Hiro Mashima.
A Digital Deluxe Edition will also be available, which includes additional in-game content such as costumes, characters, scenarios, and various downloadable content. More information will be announced at a later date.
All physical and digital purchases of Fairy Tail 2 will include the “Miss Fairy Tail Contest” costume for Lucy until December 27.
Fairy Tail 2 will also be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2024, which will run from September 26 to 29 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
