About
Hokkaido Rensa Satsujin: Ohotsuku ni Kiyu is a detective adventure game released for PC by LOGiN SOFT in 1984, then for Famicom in 1987. It is considered to be the third game in the “Yuji Horii Mystery Trilogy” following The Portopia Serial Murder Case and Karuizawa Yuukai Annai.
A game never fully remade in the past, as well as one that regularly appears on lists of “most wanted adventure game remakes,” this is a faithful remake of the Famicom version upgraded for the modern era.
Story
When the Nipopo doll cries, another dead body appears…
One morning, the corpse of a man appears in the waters of Tokyo Bay.
The unidentifiable body is of a man estimated around 40 years old.
The incident then moves to Hokkaido. To Kushiro, Abashiri, Shiretoko, Monbetsu…
The second and third incidents are a chain of murders centered in eastern Hokkaido.
