■ A Glimpse of the Relationship Between Kazuma Kiryu and Akame
Akame is a jack-of-all-trades based in Sotenbori, Osaka—the entertainment capital of the west. What role will she play in the story, and what effect will she have on Kiryu?
Story
During a mission for the Daidoji Faction, Kiryu gets wrapped up in an incident in which he encounters Akame, a mysterious woman deeply acquainted with the underbelly of Sotenbori.
Using the “Akame Network,” an intelligence network made up of the homeless, Akame gathers information and, as a jack-of-all-trades, undertakes risky requests that others avoid.
Kiryu ends up working with Akame and supporting her business.
As Kiryu and Akame become further acquainted while solving problems concerning the underworld such as the poverty business, a drama depicting their relationship will unfold.
■ Members of the Daidoji Faction
Other than Kihei Hanawa, Kiryu’s handler as an agent for the Daidoji Faction, where he is known by the codename “Joryu,” Kiryu will also encounter other members of the Daidoji Faction.
Yoshimura (Daidoji Faction) (portrayed by Mitsuaki Kanuka)
“…Kazuma Kiryu. Time for your punishment.”
A cog in a cold-hearted and unfeeling organization.
A manager in the Daidoji faction who specializes in violence. Yoshimura prioritizes the faction above all else, ruthlessly eliminating those who pose a threat. He openly expresses his contempt for Kiryu, a man who shows no allegiance.

“If he can’t keep his promises, then our deal is meaningless. Don’t you agree?”

A man who serves as the head priest of the Daidoji. Detached from his earthly desires, he enjoys playing Go by himself all day long. He is one of the few people Kiryu confides in.
