Overwatch to implement cross-play

Set to launch in the beta phase.

Overwatch will soon implement cross-play, allowing users to team up regardless of their preferred platform, developer Blizzard Entertainment announced.

With the release of cross-play, all players will need to create a Battle.net account to link to their console accounts. Additionally, everyone who logs in to Overwatch by the end of 2021 will receive a “Golden Loot Box” to celebrate.

Cross-play will launch in the beta phase. The Overwatch development team will be monitoring feedback and look to make improvements on the feature moving forward.

A full FAQ on cross-play is available here.

Overwatch is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
