Publisher Kadokawa Games and developer 24Frame have delayed Metal Max: Wild West from its previously planned 2021 release window in Japan to 2022, the companies announced during the Metal Max 30th Anniversary Live Stream.
A few new details were also announced. The game, a sequel to Metal Max Xeno: Reborn, follows a new protagonist: a seemingly ordinary young man with a quiet appearance.
Through the protagonist’s efforts, the base town will gradually expand.
Settlements with new species of monsters will appear in the game’s world.
The Unigun enemy from Metal Max 2 will also appear. Since the game is set in dried up Lake Biwa, players can expect to see many aquatic enemies from Metal Max 2.
