Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception and Mask of Truth delisted from PlayStation Store in the west as license expires

No word on whether the titles will return.

Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception / Mask of Truth

The PlayStation 4 and PS Vita versions of strategy RPG and visual novel hybrid Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception and sequel Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth have been delisted from the PlayStation Store in western territories.

A representative for Atlus, which published both titles in the west, confirmed to Gematsu that the titles were delisted because Atlus’ licensing rights expired. Atlus did not have any information about whether the games would return to the digital storefront.

Gematsu has reached out to developer Aquaplus as well as PC versions publisher DMM Games for further information. However, it is currently the weekend in Japan and we likely will not hear back until Monday at the earliest.
