Famitsu Sales: 12/7/20 – 12/13/20

Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software and hardware sales data for Japan for the week of December 7, 2020 to December 13, 2020.

Cyberpunk 2077 for PlayStation 4 was the highest selling new release last week, opening at 104,687 retail sales. Despite that, it was the second highest selling overall game of the week, bested by Momotaro Dentetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban!, which moved another 166,774 copies in its fourth week of sales.

On the hardware side, the Switch family sold 229,698 units, the PlayStation 5 family sold 11,056 units, the PlayStation 4 family sold 9,154 units, and the Xbox Series family sold 1,411 units. Both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series platforms remain in short supply.
