R-Type Final 2 third crowdfunding campaign launched

Four more stretch goals to go.

R-Type Final 2

Granzella has launched a third crowdfunding campaign for R-Type Final 2.

Throughout its previous two crowdfunding campaigns, the game has been funded over $1.09 million.

With the launch of a third campaign, the shoot ’em up will have a chance to achieve the following remaining stretch goals:

  • $1.1 million – Reproduce and incorporate one of the stages in R-Type II with the latest technology as an additional stage.
  • $1.3 million – Reproduce and incorporate Stage One of the original R-Type with the latest technology as an additional stage.
  • $1.5 million – Reproduce and incorporate Stage Three of the original R-Type with the latest technology as an additional stage.
  • $2 million – Production of a total of all 102 R-Craft.

Here is a message from Granzella on the launch of the third crowdfunding campaign:

Thank you always for your kind support for R-Type Final 2.

We would also like to express our gratitude to the many people who supported us through the crowdfunding campaigns we conducted in June and October 2019.

We have rescheduled the time of the release of the game software from December 2020 to spring 2021. We apologize for the inconvenience it may have caused you.

In the meantime, since the end of our last year’s second round of crowdfunding campaign, we have received many inquiries from fans who were unable to join due to lack of information caused by our insufficient publicity efforts.

Therefore we have decided to launch our third crowdfunding round for about one month period starting from October 27 through November 30. Please note that the rewards we will be able to offer this time are quite limited due to the short period until the scheduled time of release. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your continued support for R-Type Final 2.

R-Type Final 2 is due out for Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam in spring 2021.
