PS5 release window on Japanese jobs site an error, Sony Interactive Entertainment says

Job listing mentions October release.

A Sony Interactive Entertainment representative has told Famitsu that mention of an October release window for PlayStation 5 in a job listing on Japanese recruitment site Rikunabi is an error by the recruitment site and not the description it listed.

The job description reads: “You will handle the prototyping and purchasing of PlayStation hardware products. Choose the optimal suppliers from domestic and overseas partners, cooperate with the design and quality assurance departments on specification adjustments and production capacity for hardware parts, and build up the October 2020-due PlayStation 5.”

Currently, the only officially announced release window for PlayStation 5 is “holiday 2020.”
