Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software and hardware sales data for Japan for the week of October 21, 2019 to October 27, 2019.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for PlayStation 4 was the highest-selling new release, moving 117,670 retail copies in three days.
To compare, Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII for PlayStation 4 sold 228,775 retail copies during its first three days of release in Japan, while Call of Duty: WWII sold 168,234 copies and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare sold 105,764 copies.
The latest Dragon Quest X expansion—Dragon Quest X: Ibara no Miko to Horobiru no Kami Online was the second highest-selling new release at 34,836 retail copies moved on Switch and 16,898 copies moved on PlayStation 4 for a total of 51,734 copies.
Also new this week, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night moved 12,156 retail copies on PlayStation 4, while the Switch version did not chart in the top 10, and The Outer Worlds for PlayStation 4 launched at 10,659 copies sold.
On the hardware side, the Switch family sold 69,438 units, the PlayStation 4 family sold 7,422 units, and the 3DS family sold 1,241 units.
