Kandagawa Jet Girls unveiled as PS4 game and TV anime

PlayStation 4 game to be detailed in September.

Kandagawa Jet Girls, the newly announced collaboration between Marvelous, Kadokawa, Egg Firm, and Kenichiro Takaki, is a cross-media project consisting of a PlayStation 4 game and television anime, Marvelous announced.

The television anime will begin its broadcast run in October.

As for the game, details will not be announced until September, but Marvelous did tease the fact that two familiar characters will appear.

Here are some details on the anime:


  • Creator – Kenichiro Takaki (Senran Kagura, Valkyrie Drive)
  • Director – Hirako Kaneko (Manyuu Hikenchou, Valkyrie Drive)
  • Character Drafting – Hanaharu Naruko (Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet)
  • Series Organizer – Gou Zappa (Queen’s Blade)
  • Animation Studio – TNK (High School DxD, Ikki Tousen)


A world where a water race sport called “Jet Race” is all the rage, where teams consisting of a “Jetter” that drives the vehicle and a “Shooter” that shoots rival racers with a water gun compete against each other.

Rin Namiki, whose mother is a legendary Jetter, dreams of one day becoming a Jet Racer herself, and leaves her hometown island for Asakusa in Tokyo.

After meeting the cool beauty Misa Aoi, the two partner up. As each race unfolds, their partnership will gradually deepen.
