The 2006-released DS port of the dungeon exploration RPG.

Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer

Following a tease last week, Spike Chunsoft has announced that Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer is coming to iOS and Android devices “soon” in Japan for 1,800 yen.

While the dungeon exploration RPG was originally released for Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1995, the smartphone version is a port of the 2006-released DS remake, which added new dungeons, monsters, and items, as well as various system improvements.

Here is a short list of key features:

  • Explore “Mystery Dungeons” that change form each time you enter. Play them over and over again.
  • Meet various characters, and even fight alongside some of them.
  • Restore your strength and buy items in the villages and towns you come across on your journey.
  • A simplified rescue system (random password-style).
