Dreams beta still planned for 2018

Vote on a Media Molecule-created world to play around in.

The beta for Media Molecule’s basically-a-game-engine Dreams is still planned for 2018, the company confirmed in a blog post announcing its latest live stream today.

“Our next stream, taking place on Wednesday, November 28 at 5:00 p.m. BST, will be one of our ever fabulous Kareem Dreams Livestreams!” reads the blog post. “But, this time round there’s a twist – Kareem [Ettouney, one of the founders of Media Molecule] will be building a world for YOU to play around in when the Dreams beta launches later this year. It’ll be available in the Dreamiverse for you to build on or remix as you see fit.”

As for what world Kareem will be building, Media Molecule is holding a Twitter poll to make the final decision. The four options are dystopian, surrealism, high fantasy, and alien.

Dreams will be released for PlayStation 4.
