Sekai Project has announced Sekai Games, a new initiative focused on the console market.

The sole focus of Sekai Games will be “to deliver a wide variety of video game genres to the worldwide market to all major console marketplaces.” This includes both Sekai Project’s Japanese adventure games and its in-house developed new IPs.

Sekai Games teases that “combined with our close relationship with some of the largest game developers and partners both in the Americas and Japan, there are sure to be a few surprises in store that many would have thought not possible a few years ago.”

The initiative is spearheaded by Audi Sorlie, Raymond Qian and Christopher Ling, games industry veterans with over 15 years of experience.

“Since I first started helping out Sekai Project four years ago, my main goal and focus has always been to bring Sekai Project’s output to the console space and communicate with the fans around the world how they experience the wonderful characters and stories from Japan’s finest storytellers,” Sorlie said in a press release. “For me, Sekai Games has been many years in the making, and the support from the fans, as well as the console manufacturers, has been an incredible experience. I am extremely excited to see some of the reactions to the surprises we have in store for the fans.”
