God Eater 3 is developed by Marvelous’ First Studio

Series development house Shift nowhere to be seen.

God Eater 3

While previous entries in the God Eater series were developed by Shift, God Eater 3 is being developed by Marvelous’ First Studio, Bandai Namco announced during the God Eater 3 “Early Hands-On & Development Summit” held in Tokyo today.

The game’s main staff is as follows:

  • Series General Director – Hiroshi Yoshimura (Bandai Namco)
  • Series General Producer – Yusuke Tomizawa (Bandai Namco)
  • Director – Wataru Atsumi (Bandai Namco)
  • Producer – Yuya Tomiyama (Bandai Namco)
  • Development Director – Ittetsu Suzuki (Marvelous)

Ittetsu Suzuki was also the development director on Soul Sacrifice, which Marvelous developed. (Though, Marvelous was known as Marvelous AQL at the time, and its First Studio had not been established.)

Marvelous’ First Studio is also currently developing Fate/EXTELLA Link.

The God Eater 3 Early Hands-On & Development Summit runs from April 28 to 30. A “Debriefing” will be held on April 30 at 19:00 JST, which will feature an introduction from the staff to the characteristics of the new God Arcs and actions of God Eater 3 using the game’s latest development build, as well as the latest information on the series, including the God Eater: Resonant Ops smartphone game. It will be live streamed on YouTube and Niconico.

God Eater 3 will be released worldwide for PlayStation 4 and PC. A release date has yet to be announced. If you missed it earlier this month, catch our latest detailed report on the game here.
