Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings and The Idolmaster: Stella Stage highlight this week’s new Japanese releases, alongside smaller titles such as A-Train Express and Medabots Classics.
The 20th anniversary title in the Atelier series, Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings follows sisters Lydie and Suelle on their journey through the worlds of various “mysterious paintings” in order to find rare ingredients and become the top atelier in the country.
The Idolmaster: Stella Stage is a followup to The Idolmaster: Platinum Stars. It uses much of the same gameplay systems, albeit with new additions. A new idol, rival company 961 Production’s Shika, also makes her debut. Volumes 1 to 6 of the downloadable content from The Idolmaster: Platinum Stars are also compatible with The Idolmaster: Stella Stage.
Medabots Classics is a collection including the five Game Boy Color titles Medabots, Medabots 2, Medabots 3, Medabots 4, and Medabots 5 with new features save and load anytime, wireless multiplayer, skipping Robattles, increasing game speed, a Medabot Album, and the ability to play a new game with all of the parts you obtained from your first playthrough.
Finally, A-Train Express is essentially a PlayStation 4 port of A-Train 9, implementing various features from the PC title, but adds cross-country bullet trains, controller-based development, PlayStation VR support, guide videos, and more.
