Pokemon Ultra Sun, Pokemon Ultra Moon, and VA-11 Hall-A highlight this week’s Japanese game releases.
Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon are the latest entries in the 3DS series of Pokemon games. It is set in the same region as last year’s Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon, but offers a new story and plenty of new features. If you missed it, catch up on all of our updates here.
VA-11 Hall-A is a “cyberpunk bartender action” game, though with little emphasis on action as it is a visual novel. It is already available on PC and has “overwhelmingly positive” praise on Steam. The game puts players in the role of a bartender tasked with keeping clients happy to get them to share their interesting stories.
Also new this week, Dragon Quest X is getting its next major expansion with the release of Dragon Quest X: 5,000 Year Journey to a Faraway Hometown Online. This will be the official version 4.0 of the game.
