Wall Street Journal: Nintendo developing The Legend of Zelda game for smartphones

Reportedly due out after Animal Crossing for smartphones.

Nintendo and DeNA are developing a game in The Legend of Zelda series for smartphones, according to a Wall Street Journal report citing “people familiar with the matter.”

According to its sources, the previously announced Animal Crossing game for smartphones will be released in the second half of 2017, and The Legend of Zelda game will follow. Although they did caution that the timing and order of releases could be changed.

When contacted by the Wall Street Journal, Nintendo and DeNA declined to comment.
