Rime launches May 26 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, this summer for Switch

Adventure game to be available both physically and digitally.

Rime will launch both physically and digitally for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on May 26 for $29.99 / €34.99 / £29.99, publisher Grey Box announced.

The Switch version will launch physically and digitally later this summer for $39.99 / €44.99 / £39.99. Grey Box did not mention why the Switch version costs more, but we’ve contacted the publisher for comment and are awaiting a response. (Update: Here’s the response from Grey Box: “We set prices for our products based on the costs of development and publishing for each specific platform.”)

Here’s an overview of the game, via Grey Box:

Rime is a single-player puzzle adventure game about discovery, experienced through the eyes of a young boy who awakens on a mysterious island after shipwrecking off its coast. Players must navigate the island’s secrets by making use of light, sound, perspective and even time. Inspired by the rugged, sunbaked terrain of the Mediterranean coast, Rime paints its breathtaking world with a fusion of vibrant colors and moving musical undertones to set the stage for the deeply personal journey that awaits within.
