Sony Interactive Entertainment has opened beta test sign-ups for PlayStation 4 system software update 4.5, the platform’s next major update.

Beta sign-ups will be open from today until the start of the beta in early February. North American users can register here and European users here.

If you’re selected to participate in the beta, you’ll receive an e-mail with instructions on downloading the beta version of the 4.5 system software update later on. You’ll need an internet connection and access to a Master Account to participate.

Sony will share details on the features available in the beta in a future update.
