Musou Stars adds Plachta from Atelier Sophie [Update]

New playable character confirmed in Weekly Famitsu.

Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book

Plachta, from Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book, will appear as a playable character in Musou Stars, the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals.

Plachta uses her Alchemic Drive Weapon crafted via alchemy, and can fire tremendously powerful lasers. As for the previously confirmed Sophie, she’ll be able to attack using the “Ice Bombs” and “Lightning Bombs” she crafts, as well as throw regular “Bombs” and “Unis.”

In battle, in addition to the character you control, you can take up to four non-player characters called “Members” into the fight for a total of five characters participating. Special skills known as “Hero Skills” can be set for Members. There are three types of Hero Skills available for use, which leverage each character and the title they represent.

Here are a few Hero Skills:

  • Sophie: “Alchemy” – Changes the items that have fallen on the battlefield into different items.
  • Plachta: “Growless” – Allies within range will not be affected by weakening skills.
  • Zhao Yun: “Storm Rush” – Zhao Yun pursues the enemies blown back by the player.

Musou Stars is due out for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita in Japan in 2017. Read more about the game here.

Thanks, Hachima Kikou.

Update: Made a correction in the article where we had initially confused Sophie’s attacks for Plachta’s. We apologize for the error.
