Sakura Wars creator working on original game, likely for smartphones

New game to be announced next spring.

Oji Hiroi

Oji Hiroi, famous for creating the Sakura Wars and Far East of Eden franchises, is working on a completely new video game, the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals.

The new game, which is an original title, is currently in the planning stages. The goal is to move full steam ahead on production and announce the game next spring.

The news comes via an interview with Geo Holdings Corporation president Yuzo Endo. That said, it’s likely Hiroi’s new game is a smartphone title from Geo Holding’s subsidiary Geo Interactive.
