Square's scrolling shooting game returns.

King's Knight: Wrath of the Dragon

Sqaure Enix announced King’s Knight: Wrath of the Dark Dragon for iOS and Android during the Final Fantasy XV Tokyo Game Show 2016 Active Time Report.

King’s Knight is a Square-developed Famicom scrolling shooting game that launched in Japan in 1986. It is one of the company’s earliest titles, predating even the Final Fantasy series, and celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2016.

The new title, King’s Knight: Wrath of the Dark Dragon is an action RPG from the Final Fantasy XV universe for iOS and Android devices. It features a completely new story and world, and a multiplayer mode with up to four players. It will be free-to-play when it launches later this year.

In Final Fantasy XV, Noctis and friends can often be found playing King’s Knight: Wrath of the Dark Dragon on their smartphones during their downtime.
