The event will be held at the PlayStation Theater in New York City at 3:00 p.m. ET.
Yesterday, both Gameblog and VICE Gaming reported that Sony would hold an event in New York on September 7 to unveil its upgraded PlayStation 4, code-named Neo. Sony has confirmed the existence of said system, but has not shared much information beyond that all PlayStation 4 games will work across both the current and upgraded models. Rumors point to a console with an upgraded CPU, GPU, and memory.
Further information about the event was not announced.
Update 9:25 p.m.: Sony has confirmed to Polygon that PlayStation Meeting 2016 will be live streamed. More information will be shared closer to the event.
