■ Side Story
In Tokyo Xanadu eX+, new “side story” episodes that focus on characters outside of the protagonist Kou have been added. Today, we’ll look at the side stories for characters White Shroud and Rion.
White Shroud Chapter: “White Shadow”
The day after after the manifestation of Kou’s Soul Device and he becomes aware of the Other World, a mysterious, “White Shrouded” figure appears at the Morimiya General Hospital.
In order to investigate the source of the ringing sound coming from within a strangely shaped gate different from the standard Other World gate he discovered, White Shroud heads inside the gate on his own.
Rion Chapter: “Wings of Determination”
After a certain incident that befell Rion, party members Asuka and Mitsuki are accompanied by Morimiya Academy teacher Towa to the hospital, where Rion receives a thorough examination.
Rion speaks to Asuka and co. about her troubles—how will she face the power that remains within her and where should she go from here as a single “idol”? However…
■ Kou’s Furniture Collection
One of the original side elements of the PlayStation 4 version is a “Furniture Collection” feature that lets players decorate the protagonist Kou’s room with furniture.
A “Kou’s Room” option has been added to the menu used to travel around Morimiya City, and when you go to the room after obtaining furniture while playing the game, the furniture will automatically be placed in the room.
By arranging together specific pieces of furniture, you’ll be able to see special events with the game’s party of playable characters and school friends when they visit that are only available via “Furniture Collection.”
Tokyo Xanadu eX+ is due out for PlayStation 4 in Japan on September 8.
