Star Wars Battlefront

A Star Wars Battlefront beta will launch in early October for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Origin for PC, Electronic Arts and DICE announced.

The technical test will feature the following modes and maps:

  • Walker Assault on Hoth – A 40-player multiplayer mode featuring Rebels and the Empire, as well as give players the chance to play as Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker.
  • Survival Mission on Tatooine – A mode where the player and a Rebel friend must take on waves of Imperial Forces.
  • Drop Zone – A brand new mode that will be revealed in the weeks ahead.

Electronic Arts also unveiled the “Star Wars Battlefront Companion Experience,” which will be available during the beta at the game’s official website. It features the strategic card game Base Command, and lets you earn in-game credits that unlock Star Cards, weapons, and more in Star Wars Battlefront. Players can also check their stats and progression, customize load-outs and appearance, connect with friends, and receive notifications when they’re playing Battlefront. An iOS and Android version of the Companion Experience will be available prior to the full game’s launch on November 17.
