Pre-orders include Mass Effect-inspired "Grass Effect Z7-Mech."

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2

Electronic Arts and PopCap Games have unveiled “Backyard Battleground,” a new dynamic hub in Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2.

Players will enter Backyard Battleground as soon as the game starts. It features dynamic events and a number of things to discover and do. Players can invite up to three friends into their Backyard Battleground to take on daily quests, complete missions for Crazy Dave and Dr. Zomboss, interact with other Plants vs. Zombies characters, ignite a war by crossing over enemy lines, and more.

Additionally, Electronic Arts announced that pre-orders for Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 will include access to the “Grass Effect Z7-Mech” upon starting the game. Inspired by Mass Effect and crafted by Dr. Zomboss, the mech features the melee Zomni-tool, as well as interlocking ceramic plate armor with kinetic padding. It is designed to augment tech, biotic, and weapons damage.
