Final Fantasy VII will be available for download on the iOS App Store at midnight in your country.
The app is already live on the New Zealand App Store for $19.99 NZD (approx. $13 USD). The app will go live in the U.S. at midnight here.
The iOS version offers two options of virtual controller for “simple and comfortable” play. There’s the virtual analogue or fixed four-way digital control pad options. You can also adjust the opacity of the on-screen controls in the Configuration Menu.
Two new features included in the iOS version are the option to turn enemy encounters off on the world and area maps (event battles not included), and a “Max Stats” command to “become all-powerful in the blink of an eye.”
A PlayStation 4 version of the game is planned for release this winter. A full remake is also in development for the platform.
