Playable at this weekend's BitSummit in Kyoto.

Earth Wars

Japanese independent developer Oneoreight has released the first trailer and screenshot of Earth Wars, its summer-due PlayStation 4 and Xbox One game.

The game will be playable at the PlayStation Booth during BitSummit 2015 in Kyoto, which runs from July 11 to 12.

Here’s the game’s story:

In the year 2020, the Earth is attacked by an unknown force called “E.B.E.” Its powerful attack causes the successive destruction of countries all over the world, the vast land of America included, and 70 percent of the world becomes E.B.E.’s nest. You are a member of the special reinforcements military known as “A.N.T.I.,” which aims to eterminate E.B.E.

Earth Wars is a 2D side-scrolling action game that has players controlling 2D-illustrated characters while throwing out fighting game-like combos against E.B.E. enemies to clear stages. Occasionally, you’ll be able to develop to new weapons and can upgrade your skills.
