Senran Kagura creator to headline “Valkyrie Drive Project” stage at AnimeJapan

Animator Hiraku Kaneko also headlining.

Kenichiro Takaki

The stage schedule for this year’s AnimeJapan expo at Tokyo Big Sight was announced this morning.

One event worth keeping an eye on happens Saturday, March 21 at 10:45 local time. It’s called “Valkyrie Drive Project Presentation” and features animator Hiraku Kaneko, game creator Kenichiro Takaki, and voice actors Yuka Iguchi, Yurika Kubo, Hitomi Harada, and Mikako Izawa.

Here’s the outline:

Valkyrie Drive, an all-new project launched by sexy-approach creators of the highest pedigree. A talk show featuring the announcement and cast of this work. Please look forward to this gentlemen’s stage.

Hiraku Kaneko and Kenichiro Takaki are both known for their sexy-style anime / games, of course—the former for a number of ecchi and adult anime, while the latter for the Senran Kagura game series.

Given this is being presented at AnimeJapan, as well as Kaneko’s appearance, it’s likely we’re looking at anime project. But with Takaki also showing up, it’s possible we’re also looking at a new game. Late last month, Takaki said he might have several non-Senran Kagura game projects to announce this year.
