PlayStation Store offering 10 percent discount as apology for December 25 outage

Discount period runs between January 23 and 26.

PlayStation Store

Sony Computer Entertainment is offering PlayStation Network users a 10 percent discount code as apology for the December 25 service outage.

Here are the details for each region:

  • North America – Coupon code will be published on the PlayStation Store, as well as PlayStation’s Twitter. Runs between January 23 at 9:00 a.m. PST and January 26 at 9:00 a.m. PST.
  • Europe – Coupon code will be published on the PlayStation Store, as well as PlayStation Europe’s Twitter. Runs between January 23 at 9:00 a.m. GMT and January 26 at 9:00 a.m. GMT.
  • Japan – Coupon code: 8PLLN4L3DQ. Runs between January 23 at 0:00 JST and January 25 at 23:59 JST.

As the PS Vita PlayStation Store doesn’t offer the discount code option, you can purchase PS Vita and PSP content using the code from the web store (you can do this for PS4 and PS3 content, as well).

There are some exclusions as to what you can use the discount for, including PlayStation Plus, Music Unlimited, and rental video content.
