“Shocking” Pokemon game announcement coming next week

Pikachu detective game finally set for official reveal?

A “shocking” new Pokemon project will be announced in Japan on August 26, the Pokemon Company announced.

The announcement will be live streamed via Niconico in collaboration with Famitsu during the “Weekly Famitsu feat. Pokemon Special” at 22:00 (local times).

The broadcast will feature Pokemon Company representative director and president Tsunekazu Irahara, and two special guests.

Further details were not announced. However, last year during an episode of NHK Professional, Irahara showed a 3DS Pokemon game featuring Pikachu as a detective that is still to be officially announced.
