Darksiders creative director says series is not dead

Creative director suggests "exciting news" may be on the way.

Darksiders II

In a Facebook update, Darksiders creative director Joe Madureira said the series has not been put to rest, possibly suggesting there might be “exciting news” about the franchise soon.

DarksidersDS is not dead!!!” Madureira said. “The new owner, Nordic seems very committed to continuing the series. As far as my involvement, I can’t say at this point. Hopefully we will all have exciting news about the franchise soon!!!!!!”

Noridc acquired the Darksiders series from THQ, among other franchises like Red Faction and MX vs. ATV, in April last year. Most of the team behind Vigil Games, which developed the series, were hired by Crytek’s new U.S. studio.
