PlayStation 4 firmware version 1.7 will add Share enhancements and HDCP off functionality, Sony announced.
The update will include:
- A rich video editor with a simple tool to personalize video clips will be added.
- You’ll be able to export and save videos and screenshots you create via the Share button to a USB drive.
- There is “a lot more coming in this update as well,” Sony promises. “There will be plenty in the update to excite everyone.”
A future system software update will bring Twich and Ustream video archiving, as well as a higher resolution (720p) of broadcasting. More information on these updates are promised in the “coming weeks.”
