Fable Legends introduces small town Albion hero Sterling

Meet Legends' dashing, chivalrous, and deadly swordsman.

Fable Legends

News on Fable Legends has been dry since its August announcement, but today Lionhead Studios shared new information on Sterling, one of the game’s heroes.

Sterling is the first son of a nobleman born in a small town in Albion with the hope that he would one day become a wise member of the town’s elite an follow in his father’s footsteps in a life of paperwork and diplomacy.

His mother, however, constantly told him tales of ancient heroes. And Sterling grew up dreaming of defeating villains and sweeping maidens off their feet. Because of that, as soon as he could wield a rapier, he left home to seek fortune as a hero.

But the real world was different from his mother’s stories. Thieves and rabid chickens roam the land, and the roads are paved more with mud and droppings than they are with gold. But this has made Sterling even more determined to shape the world as it should be.

“Dashing, chivalrous, deadly, Sterling is a swordsman of legend,” Lionhead lead writer Andy Walsh said in a blog post. “Now when the children of Albion dream of Heroes, it is Sterling they are thinking of.”

Lionhead promises more character introductions over the coming months.
